CRC PRESENTS

A memory of Alice Ghostley. I was saddened to hear she passed away this year. Besides giving me great comfort from her rolls on television as a boy, she was a fantastic singer and musician. She worked with my great Uncle Anton who conducted numerous musicals and operas. She agreed to play a small part in my bizarre, apocalyptic comedy “Palmer’s Pickup:an American Roadshow Odyssey”, which I consider sort of my “It’s a Mad, Mad, World” for the millennium. Her sense of comic timing was virtuosic…it was a great honor and privilege for me to have worked with Ms. Ghostley. I am grateful to have had the experience.

One of my favorite sitcoms was Degigning Women, Alice Ghostley played Bernice, she was slightly off kilter and some would say she wasn’t all there, and Suzanne Sugarbaker called affectionately as “you little fruitcake. I think she just had a wicked sense of humour and she’s making someone laugh…….

A voice that is recognized around the globe. That is what Alice Ghostley is still today. She still lives on.
A very fitting tribute CRC. Well done.

    Hey Barn!
Let’s put it this way…..Dean Martin’s song “Baby It’s Cold Outside” has become my theme song for the season!
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

My son and hub will be very happy to hear that out west you’re getting lots and lots of snow.
The day after Christmas, they’re driving out to Snowmass to hit the slopes!
Stay warm and safe dear Barn and keep the weather reports coming! :) Ben
