SPOTLIGHT ON CHAZZ

Meet Chazz the man who had the vision to create PUBLIC ART WORKZ. He's a kindred spirit who also believes in the power of the Creative Process to heal the individual and the community. He resides in Old Redman, a tough neighborhood in Detroit, but with the help of his man Stump, PUBLIC ART WORKZ gives all generations in the hood the ability to sculpt, compose music, make films, write poetry, do photography or any other art form. Chazz is always on the search for unwanted items like pottery furnaces, welding equipment as well as unexpected stuff like hot tubs, industrial barbecues or a circus tent (the Creative Process should also be fun). He believes even things should get a second chance to give back.

Hats off to Chazz for getting 'er done.

My heart goes out to him for his dedication, his devotion to beautiful souls. Wow! I am deeply, deeply touched. CRC, Thanks for putting the spotlight Chazz – I see you guys as Earthly Angels. May God bless your hearts and hands–every part of your beings, really. Wow! I am WOWing tonight.

Chazz is a good example of how people should learn to be satisfied with what they have as opposed to constantly wanting more and more and never being satisfied.

So true Jeff. I see what you are saying. That’s why I consider him an Earthly angel. Like CRC, he’s brings hope to the hopeless. Now I am not going to defend those whom want more and more and are never satisfied, but it’s very easy to get derailed into a materialistic world. Actually, How many people would live on his side of the track? It takes a certain type of heart. Charlie Chaplin once said these words: Machine men, with machine minds and hearts. In fact, his words helped to inspire me, while God put a story on my heart and moved me towards CRC.

Back in the day, Mick Jagger sung about “not getting satisfaction.” I guess he knew what it’s like to get derailed.

I end with a peaceful heart.

Detroit and Michigan gets a bad “rap” but it is filled with many beautiful souls like Chazz. In time the grand lady will come back and in no small part to the Chazz’s and Christopher’s of the world.
