I liked her use of sherry in cooking. She introduced me to cooking with liquor. May she rest in bliss.
And who don’t like french onion soup. It’s a 2 day thing making it with me. But when it is done… It is terriffic.

She received the French Legion of Honor in 2000.

Her final meal was French onion soup. And she was an American who loved French cooking with her cookbook, “The French Chef.” I just like watching her show because she was very entertaining.

Agreed about the food Anna. But the peeing in Cheerios has to stop! I love Julia Childs cooking. She, in my feeble opinion, is the undisputed champion of French cooking.

I wish I could say I am always good but I am not but than I feel I need to make up for it which sometimes in the long run was a better choice…and the French make up for it by having great food… Crème brûlée anyone?

I still think the French are peeing in our Cheerios. I went to Paris as a younger lad, and they pee’d everywhere! Ah but it is the Egyptians that beat that one. Poop everywhere!!! Simple bodily functions, but best left private, hence the word, privy.
Take away those blasted borders and the it would be the funny speaking peeing people, and the master builder pooping people.
Poop and pee well all!

I had to think on this one and your comment brought forth a good chuckle.

I think I get what the author of the quote was trying to convey, in my words it reads like this.

The measure of an individual’s greatness is best demonstrated when placed in perfect position to abuse it, they don’t.
