SUNDAY WISDOM
What kind of spiritual triumph it was I can neither write nor speak; it can only be compared with that where life is born in the midst of death, and is like the resurrection of the dead.

The man was a Christian mystic, alchemist and a great thinker. My gut tells me it has something to do with the specific moment of when gold is made from nothing, the phoenix bursts from the ashes, the plant emerges from the seed in the rotting fruit. The moment is the moment of all moments and to get a pure, crystalline glimpse of that power both in heart and mind is the Spiritual Triumph.
