EASTER SUNDAY WISDOM

Receive every day as a resurrection from death, as a new enjoyment of life; meet every rising sun with such sentiments of God’s goodness, as if you had seen it, and all things, new – created upon your account: and under the sense of so great a blessing.

–William Law

Happy Easter to you and your family Christopher.

In many creation myths—including some in China, Japan, and especially India (see Brahmā)—the great precreation void takes the form of an egg, often a golden one. The analogy between cosmic birth and earthly birth is obvious here.

I like to use the hole of the emu or ostrich egg. Out of polymer clay, I will make a hummingbird and trumpet flower using the hole as a holder. My cosmic egg is dark like the darkness of the universe with the sun, planets, Venus, trumpet flowers and hummingbirds. I read on your blog about the Cosmic Egg, but I think I am going to get some gold paint for the vines because they think the cosmic egg was golden.

Coppola you are my muse, and a lady thinks my eggs might bring the most money at the auction…wasn’t she nice….

Happy Easter, now I am going to K-mart and buy easter candy, half price.

I wrote a children’s story about a golden egg titled GOLDEN. A grandpa reads the story to his grandkids. The story is about a farmer & his 3 children who plant golden eggs, that grow into vines bearing more golden eggs that they gather and bring to the mountaintop where the full moon beams scoop up and then = turn the eggs into a golden rain the children of the world – dance in. Schroeter composed a melody to our closing song for this story titled – Where Does Love Come From which is what the premise of the book/screenplay is.

You say Golden eggs are good. Yes. Must crack this baby and help it grow. May the spring rains bring joy to us all. Peace. :-)

  4. Anna Says:

My cosmic egg has a slight crack in it from the hole but the shell is so thick. They use a hammer and a nail to make the hole. I asked, of course.

The story sounds beautiful. When I was a child I would always run out after a rain, it doesn’t rain often here in New Mexico, and smell the freshness of the earth, the rainbow and the greeness of the grass, we don’t have that much grass, but it seems to be getting greener….Now that I’m becoming more horse-like, I can tell you which grasses, Bee and Diamond like.

Oh, they are making me a woolen tunic, sounds like the dark ages to me, and a golden child-a girl..

  5. The Barn Says:

Imagine the universe with a crack in it. Wouldn’t that be fantastic? How was the candy from K-Mart Anna? I like orange slices, and peeps.
Hope all had a grand holiday. I made a Prime Rib Roast. I WAS DA BOMB! I wrestled a inch and a half thick piece down, and thar it lay. Deep in my mortal soul.
Brodda? What did the Prophet have?
    Be well all,

CRC, thanks for posting the Sunday Wisdom. William Law speaks much truth. I too, see every day as a resurrection from death. I am also staying focused on the Cross + For sure, Christ has definitely risen!

Because the Greek church uses the Julian calendar, Easter will be celebrated this coming Sunday. No matter what, we celebrated this Sunday. Why not, right? God knows my heart.

Happy Easter to the Coppola Family and to ONE and ALL.

Shout outs to Joy, Roberta & Anna. I will be looking forward to your stories. In fact, I love Golden Tales. :)

    Surf’s up, brodda!
