SUNDAY WISDOM
We live in an age of confusion and thirst in which the advantages of communication are greater than those of secrecy.
–Frithjof Schuon
It is with the above in mind that I now direct you to my friend The Barn’s farewell to his beloved home. In the end, the Barn’s true home is his heart and he takes it everywhere he goes.

I wish I could see some of your movie “Deadfall.”It sounds fascinating, a Film Noir? it’s all a matter of opinion and the only way to learn is to do.
Anyway I got 0.09 or 0.9 percent for my movie. So I’m just a hands on type of person….
And I did ask God to be in movies, too but I forgot and he didn’t, his time is endless for we are all God’s Children. I’m glad you welcome the fortune teller to your table.
I called my sister after 9 years, wanted to know daddy’s birthday. She said it was around Mother’s Day.. May 9th. She was right..you might think I am insenitive not knowing my father birthday or death it’s just the way I am.

The Passage:1 Corinthians 12:8-13 NIV”To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body– whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free– and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”The Point: As you can see from the bold words above, this passage carries a clear theme of unity in the midst of diversity. The many different gifts come from the same Spirit and are part of the same body. Unity is a theme not just found in this passage, but woven through the whole of Scripture. Therefore we must take the time to ask ourselves why unity is so important to the heart of God! We catch a glimpse of the answer when we examine the nature of God Himself. We know that God is Trinity (He is three Persons in one Being) but we rarely take the time to ponder the implications of this reality. God is, in His very self, Family. He is by His nature the living standard for unity in diversity. To be made in His image means that we also are created to live in unity. This is different from many of the other religions that view unity as an erasing of individuality. God is shockingly different: His Trinitarian nature itself stands as a testimony that the greatest intimacy occurs not by blurring lines of distinction, but by embracing them. We also understand God’s value on unity by looking to His original design in creation. The Garden of Eden was a picture of harmony.
The first result of sin was division and separation. Adam and Eve began to argue; they both hid from God and from one another. Romans 8 refers to sin as submitting the world to the “bondage of decay.” Like a car out of alignment, our natural inclination is towards the decay of selfishness and separation. Yet Romans 8 also tells us that God is at work in the world to redeem us from this bondage. Because of the Cross, we are now able to live in righteousness, in love, and in unity. This means that every step we take towards unity is a threat to the enemy and an advance of God’s Kingdom in our world! Cornelius Plantinga wrote, “Evil rolls across the ages, but so does good. Good has its own momentum. Corruption never wholly succeeds. Creation is stronger than sin and grace stronger still. Creation and grace are anvils that have worn out a lot of our hammers.”With this understanding on the importance of unity, the question remains, “how do our spiritual gifts contribute to unity in the Church?”Let’s look at the passage from 1 Corinthians 12.Paul continually emphasizes that every gift comes directly from”the same Spirit” or “the one Spirit.” This means that each gift comes from the same Source and therefore has the same purpose at its heart. It is the Spirit of God at work in the Church Who brings the unity. It is not our role to try to figure out how to harmonize all of our gifts together; instead it is our role to get our hearts and service in line with the Spirit. The other emphasis in the passage is “one body.” This challenges us to adopt a new paradigm and self-perception. You are not an individual who happens to go to a church. We are ALL an indispensible and irreplaceable part of a body. This body, which is the Church of Christ, will never function properly until you are living out of God’s purpose for you. We need you! And we can celebrate our interdependence on one another. This is agreat freedom, especially to those of us who tend to think that everything rises and falls on us. You cannot carry the Church, you cannot do it all. God only asks you to do your piece. And as we all give ourselves to the call of God, He harmonizes us into His beautiful design. We become the song of God to a broken world.

And we’re back! Losing cyber space was a trip! I have to do a N.E.M. segment on the subject. All moved in and no where to sit. Man do I have a lot of junk.
Thanks for posting the last vid for me CRC. That was a very sad day. I opened my window last night and could hear nothing but the sound of crickets, frogs, and coyote’s in the night. No sirens, or college kids screaming in the night. It was cool.
Be well all,

That was a beautiful posting Anna.
Grandpa Wallace Black Elk used to say upon crawling into the sweatlodge, “I wish I were Catholic.”
If you are wondering what he meant, go and experience Inipi sometime.

Actually it’s not because I’m Catholic, I think it’s becaue I was introduced to death early and thought the world and it’s people beautiful and some times not…and our time on earth is limited.
I was thinking about booking a flight on Air France because it is the cheapest way to Europe. Now I’m worried..but not enough to not go to Europe…If it’s my time, it’s my time…

Denny… .Brodda! I am numb, I just found out from one of our mutual friend’s. I know how close he was to CRC, his family and PAH Nation. A loss like this when you first learn makes no sense. The only thing I can imagine is that God needed to call a special soul up from earth to join his angels.
(Thought: Kung Fu Angels, with much respect, too.)
My heart and prayers are with him and his family and friends at this time.
Most Sincerely,
Doug & family
