Caruso Sings Ideale

I just met a student, who though in some ways the most driven graciously backed out of the PAH-FEST Filmmaker’s Challenge contest which clearly states only a team of four can represent their school. Because of his noble selfless act, I wanted him to do something special for me. I asked him to create a DigiPortrait of my father to be screened during the final PAH-FEST ceremony this Sunday night. He needed to do his research. He couldn’t use literal pictures or portraits, only poetic symbols which he would have to cut to my favorite Caruso aria. He embraced this task with gusto and reverence. An unknown student doing a portrait of man he knew nothing about, only that he was a master teacher. I can’t think of a better tribute.

And from blind eyes, he gave sight. He’s still teaching, and will be for a long long time.

    CRC,
I did not know your father personally, but I have heard about him and my heart beats for you and yours. May he rest in peace.
