I’m sorry. I just have to say WTF to that ball player’s idea. Is it possible to be any LESS creative? The internet is the great equalizer. We don’t have to put up with BS because the web is full of great user generated content.
It’s just sad considering this guy probably has all the resources in the world but is wasting them with empty ideas.
This morning my wife and I were discussing the impact and influence of media on society. I truly believe that people involved in creating media should feel responsible for the way that they shape the world. CRC – just keep it up. I’m under the impression that just about everyone wants to be good, and they want to be good to each other. Your message will get through, and will have a positive impact on humanity.
I’m kind of new around here, so forgive me for not knowing what’s going on, but what is your show called? I don’t watch a lot of TV, but maybe I could tune in once in a while.
The Basketball player is a has been). Anyhow, had I known, I would have made lunch. I am across the Hudson. Thought I felt good vibrations….All the best, CRC!
The show is called CRC (not to be confused with TMZ) …well actually it would be the anti TMZ where CRC and his do-good buddies (crew) uncover ideas that certain well known stars, who feel they are above the fray, are working on (trying to pitch). For example your friend the former basketball player who approached you. CRC and crew would investigate (ala Michael Moore style) the bad taste idea that was created based on a pure greed principle. The basketball player would need to explain himself. CRC would shame him but also try to work with him on the idea to make it better…..Watch CRC on the Dignity Documentary Channel…CRC on DDC
I got a “Video Not Found” message. I’m not sure if it is on my end or the Blogs end. It seems that the problems I’ve been having with my computer are here but maybe because most of my computer time is spent here, duuuuhhhh!!! I heard the other day that my server crashed but I was not on line then. Ah, blame it on Canada or the Chinese. I was unable to hook up to the radio talk show earlier, how did it go? I was just blown off line and the computer froze so I had to reboot. I have not had problems like these since I had my Gateway.
I’m sorry, I don’t understand very well what you are talking about.
I speak spanish and sometimes I have to listen 3 or 4 times to understand exactly, but I still miss words or expressions….
Anyway I wish my best for the proyects!
John Aduzi, my video must be lost in the digital universe. I am hoping that Riffly fixes their gateway, leading to CRC’s Blog. In the meantime, hope I did every heart right @
I think it’s because you are a Director and Nicholas Cage is an actor. A lot people don’t know your famous uncle, Francis Ford Coppola, I alway have to said,”The Godfather Movies.” These are just the regular people that go to a movie just to be entertained and don’t know what it takes to make a movie and all that it is involved.
Perhaps I’m the only one here who is – but I think I’m a REGULAR person. Darn it, CRC, I didn’t know your uncle.
That’s OK. On my side of the world, if you were asked “Who is the most brilliant mind of our day?”, a REGULAR person would probably say Stephen Hawking. (Hint: it’s not Stephen Hawking)
A massive star starts to collapse when it exhausts its nuclear fuel and can no longer counteract the inward pull of gravity.
The crushing weight of the star’s overlying layers implodes the core, and the star digs deeper into the fabric of space-time.
Although the star remains barely visible, its light now has a difficult time climbing out of the enormous gravity of the still-collapsing core.
The star passes through its event horizon and disappears from our universe, forming a singularity of infinite density.
Stephen Hawking
Do Black Holes Really Exist?
Can Anything Escape from a Black Hole?
Pile enough matter into a small enough volume and its gravitational pull will grow so strong that nothing can escape from it. That includes light, which travels at the absolute cosmic speed limit of 186,000 miles per second. In a stroke of descriptive genius, physicist John Wheeler named these objects “black holes.” The radius of a black hole is called the event horizon because it marks the edge beyond which light cannot escape, so any event taking place inside the event horizon can never be glimpsed from outside—in effect, the inside of the black hole is cut off from our universe. It has even been speculated that black holes could be pathways into other universes. Gravity is so strong at the center of a black hole, that even Einstein’s gravitational laws must break down. The theory that governs the incredibly dense matter and strong gravitational fields at the center of a black hole is not yet known.”
I don’t know how they know this because how do you test it. Maybe they have cameras watching the black holes swallowing everything..
John Wheeler, a visionary physicist and teacher who helped invent the theory of nuclear fission, gave black holes their name and argued about the nature of reality with Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr.
Plato is my friend — Aristotle is my friend — but my greatest friend is truth.
If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants. Isaac Newton
Anna, John Wheeler is definitely a brilliant physicist, and I’m sure he is more influential than Stephen Hawking. Bravo! I don’t think most non-physics folk would even know who John Wheeler is.
If gravity is pulling the star in, what is it that is pushing out? What is it that the gravity must overcome before the star collapses into a massive supernova?
this fusion process takes energy, rather than gives it. So, as energy is lost, the star no longer possesses the balance between outward pressure and gravity pushing in. As a result, gravity wins out, and the core collapses in a violent explosion called a supernova.

E=mc2 I thought it was E for Einstein…
and I don’t want to talk about the rock star Brian Cox and Willard S. Boyle
E=mc^2 only applies to objects that are motionless. Basically this is the internal energy of a non moving object. Previous to einstein, people thought that only moving objects posses internal energy.
For the full internal energy of an object in motion, you must include a term which represents the energy of motion, or the momentum “p”.
E= SquareRoot( (mc^2)^2 + (pc)^2 )
If the object is not moving, p = 0, and it reduces to E=mc^2
On the other hand, for objects that have no mass, such as a beam of light, the equation reduces to
E = pc
Which is just as significant, but for some reason not as famous as E = mc^2
There are two laws about inertia. The First Law has no formula. It is just a statement that says “an object will continue at constant velocity ,or at rest, until a net force acts on it”. This property that requires a force to change its state of motion (or rest) is called the object’s “inertia”. The Second Law is a formula that describes how an object will move when a net force acts on it. The formula is F = ma. Where, F, is the force and , a , is the objects acceleration. And , m , is the objects mass, which is a measure of the object’s inertia. So you could write the formula as a = F/m and in this way you see if the object’s mass (inertia) is increased then in order to get the same acceleration you must increase the force. These two laws describe how an object’s inertia ,or mass, resists changes in its motion.

This property that requires a force to change its state of motion (or rest) is called the object’s “inertia”.
