CRC LIVE BLOG RADIO SHOW #5 RECAP

Besides wearing a tie as I a sign of respect for the creative process, both Shabaas and I are not afraid to crawl under a rock to find beauty.

  1. California Yanqui Says:

you know the beer commercial that the two animated guys in white coats say?

    “Brilliant!”

  2. CRC Says:

No, I don’t. Describe it for me.

  3. California Yanqui Says:

    You haven’t seen these commercials?

  4. Christopher Coppola Says:

I don’t watch a lot of tv. I’ll check it out.

  5. Anna Says:

Arthur Rimbaud: Green Fairy’s wild child”When the poet’s pain is soothed by a liquid jewel held in the sacred chalice, upon which rests the pierced spoon, the crystal sweetness, icy streams trickle down. The darkest forest melts into an open meadow. Waves of green seduce. Sanity surrendered, the soul spirals toward the murky depths, wherin lies the beautiful madness – absinthe.”

These are the words of Arthur Rimbaud, the first “punk poet”, the iconic rebel, and perhaps the most celebrated abinsthe drinker.

How are the hangovers?….or do wake up the same?

  6. Christopher Coppola Says:

    The same.

  7. Eric Says:

    I’ve never had a hangover.

    I’ve also never had alcohol.

I stick to the ancient tradition of drinking water. (It’s the ‘original’ liquid refreshment!) When I’m feeling crazy I have some orange juice, or milk. Cow milk, not human milk.

I have had human milk before, but I was only a baby.

  8. Kimberlee Says:

This reminds me of one of my FAVORITE dracula movies where Dracula (Gary Oldham) pours a liquid over a sugar cube and Mina drinks from it. :) :) :) :)

  9. Anna Says:

Sometimes my sister acts like I don’t belong, as if I was born under a rock…which is good because I leave and meet the others…….

  10. CRC Says:

Eric, there is also the nectar of the Gods and Nepenthe which came around not to long after water, some say before.

  11. Eric Says:

You know, now that I think of it, human milk is probably the true aboriginal beverage, seeing how half of our species come fully equipped with the mechanism to manufacture this fine drink. There are also rumors that the other half of the species might be able to squeeze out a few drops – if push comes to shove.

Perhaps there were some of ancient mythology who were nursed as babies with a bottle of wormwood derived spirits, such as Absinthe, or Nepenthe. Maybe modern mythological legends, such as CRC, were nursed with a bottle of Coppola wine.

  12. Shabaas Says:

CRC and I are fans of crawling under the rock and then blowing it up so everyone can see the beauty…whether they want to or not.

  13. Teresa Says:

I love you Christopher. You’re a beautiful guy.
    Happy Valentine’s Day.

  14. Eric Says:

    Shabaas,

I believe that there is a relationship between finding beauty and sharing it with others, as you have said.

It seems to me, that if you look at something long enough, you either begin to mentally filter it as too common to pay attention to, or you begin to see beauty at deeper and deeper levels.

If the goal is to show this beauty to other people, you may run the risk of either; 1) they mentally filter it as “common”, or “unspectacular”, or; 2) they do not give enough time or effort to look long and see deeper. I believe the goal -instead- should be to find the beauty yourself, and allow this beauty to develop passion and a vision inside of you; the sharing of it is then merely an extension of this vision.

I am not an artist, but I do participate in a discipline where your work is on display, so to speak. I have discovered a few things about how I should operate within this profession.

    - If I think I am seeking truth, but in reality I am seeking recognition, I may find the recognition, but I will probably not find the truth.

    - Likewise, I might find truth without finding recognition.

    - If I can see the truth, or beauty, I can only trust that others who seek will see what I have seen.

    - When I make an offering of my work, I should not do it with the expectation that everyone will get on board.

    - Rather, I should think of it as providing exposure, and giving an opportunity for those who “hear the call”, so to speak, to be enlightened by the truth I have found.

  15. Anna Says:

I love you too Christopher, sometimes…..HAHAHAHA and Sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don’t…..and Lilly loves me, always…..but I don’t know if it is because of Bee, she says she dreams about feeding Bee…so I told her I need to put Bee in her name, must be nice to have a Grandma that buys you a horse and jewerlry, all my Grandma did was give me pine nuts on my morning bus ride with my grandpa amd five dollars on my bike ride around the circle of our properties……it is strange to have Lilly because she is like from another planet or maybe it i9s me…………she now likes purple my favorite color, royal color from the planet Vulcan…………Veguita in code…

  16. Anna Says:

La Joya which means “The Jewel ” in Spanish, people from Belen would make fun of us and I would say La Joya Tech…..it was beautiful in the morning and the swimming pool was on top but everything got destroy by time……….
