BEAUTY OUT OF UGLY SNAPSHOT 001

This is what California Yanqui has to say about his spontaneous work of art. “It’s the reason for black and white. The sunset was intense with black clouds reflecting red from the setting sun. The ugliness is my neighborhood. I am only one out of twelve homes that were built and the rest is weed infested empty lots. It’s rather a depressing sight. I live one mile from the White Tank mountains and the reason I bought this house was the view from my backyard and west facing yard.”

There’s a beauty everywhere and no matter how ugly or painful we are all tapped into it.

I grew up in a pretty rough part of town. There were run down houses, inoperable vehicles, weeds and scary neighbors. Not pretty.

But I always enjoyed walking around through the neighborhood. It felt like home. It was a beauty I couldn’t see with my eyes, but I could feel it.

    Will you take a picture?

There is a reason for them there weeds. Brother in law did not want them ugly weeds around his new double wide trailer house. So he had someone pull all the weeds or plowed them down. Comes the wind, blowing in gusts of wind. All the other houses are normal except his, clouds of dirt whirling around his brand new fancy double wide. Could see it, all brown like and dusty, needs just to mow them suckers down..hahahah

    Even weeds have a reason on God’s earth……and don’t mention Russian sage…

    Blue sage.

Me, Bee, Diamond and Candy decided that we rather have ugly weeds than neighbors because they can eat the weeds. I take them for walks in the summer evenings to eat weeds or whatever. They each eat different kinds of weeds. Diamond eats weeds with thorny tops, which hurt my fingers. She eats them just like popcorn. Bee has been looking depressed lately, I think she wants to go for a walk but no weeds yet, still cold….muddy with snow…

In placental mammals, the umbilical cord (also called the birth cord or funiculus umbilicalis) is the connecting cord from the developing embryo or fetus to the placenta.

God’s umbilical cord connecting us to the Universe.

That’s what I first saw when I viewed Tim’s angry black and white photo. Sunsets are the best because of the beautiful colors in the sky…
    What do you see, CRC?

I think I will plant Russian sage and Butterfly weed, if I can find the seeds.

Who knew that some weeds are attractive to butterfly, also a Yellow butterfly weed. And I don’t have to water much…thanks guys, you were most helpful because I live in a arid area.

Brightly colored butterfly weed is a butterfly magnet, attracting many kinds of butterflies to its colorful blooms. Monarch butterfly larvae feed on its leaves, but seldom harm this native plant.

I’ll snap a shot the next time I’m out there!
