Sometime in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise we know that there’s
Always tomorrow
Lean on me when you’re not strong and
I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long till I’m gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride if I have things
You need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
that you won’t let show
Just call on me brother when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’d understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long till ‘m gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Just call on me brother when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’d understand
We all need somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can’t carry
I’m right up the road, I’ll share your load
if you just call me
Just call me when you need a friend
Lean on me, Dougie and eat lots of bananas, I am.
I love that song…when my brother died, I never felt anything like that pain. A friend once told me about her brother, that the pain is worse than a parent’s death. Maybe because we know that the parent goes before us but a younger brother should be after us. Missed you on the CRC blog..
this moved me. it’s 4:30 am here, and i now have a whole new inspiration to set the tone for today. we should all be so unfettered with our gratitude towards the people in our lives. crc, you have touched me and my life today, and i am very glad to see you using your powers for good instead of evil. thank you for the food for thought….
